DoD Daily Contracts
Defense Contract Alerts, by Email and Telegram
Every business day around 5pm Eastern, the Department of Defense publishes its official list of contract awards. It names the contractor, the dollar amount and the program, and it lands after the market closes. We read it the moment it posts, match each award to the public company behind it, and alert you before the next session.
From $6 a month. Every call we send is scored and published, wins and misses.
What gets through
The daily list often runs to dozens of awards, and most of them mean nothing for any stock. An alert has to clear all of this first:
- →An award of $10.0M or more attributed to a single contractor. Shared ceilings split across many vendors never alert, because they are not attributable to any one stock.
- →The contractor resolved to a verified public ticker, including subsidiaries: an award to a shipyard or aircraft division is matched to its listed parent. Private contractors are dropped, not guessed.
- →Judged worth your attention: a routine follow-on to a giant contractor reads differently from an award that is large against the winner's size, and only awards graded likely to matter are sent.
Because the list publishes after the close, this is one of the few public feeds where reading it the same evening is genuinely ahead of the next trading session.

Common questions
Where does the data come from?
The Department of Defense publishes its daily contract awards list every business day, covering contracts of $7.5 million and up. It is the primary source: the same page defense reporters and analysts read. We poll it every minute.
How fast do the alerts arrive?
The list usually posts around 5pm Eastern, after the market closes. Alerts normally go out the same evening, which means you see the award before the next session opens.
Why do I get so few alerts?
On purpose. Most awards go to private companies or are routine follow-ons that mean nothing for the stock. We only send awards matched to a verified public company and judged likely to matter.
Do contract awards actually move stocks?
Sometimes. A billion-dollar award to a giant moves almost nothing; a mid-sized award to a small contractor can matter a lot. That size-versus-company judgement is exactly what the pipeline grades, and we publish how our calls turned out, wins and misses.
